British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The athlete was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
The sports star had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
The news of his discharge follows the sports world shared its support for the fighter in the wake of the heartbreaking incident.
